Working out & doing random things in the gym vs. Training and following a program.📈 Doing random things and doing random exercises absolutely has a place within your workouts. It’s fun, you are getting a workout in, etc. However, if it’s the only thing you are doing, random workouts = random results. These clips are almost ten years apart. I used to do A LOT of random exercises in my workout. I was young in my fitness journey and thought the more fitness equipment I used, the better. I was having fun and moving, but when I really peeled back my routine and started focusing on compound movements and progressive overload while following a program, that’s where the next level gains came in.📈 Cool part is, I’m feeling WAY stronger in my late 30’s than 20’s.❤️ Not only did I feel physically stronger, I actually started to feel more empowered, more confident, more aware of what worked for me. Funny part is, I can actually do all of those exercises in the first few clips even better now, than I could then, you just don’t see them posted. 🤪 I’m the first person to say, move in whatever makes sense to you. At the end of the day, movement is key.
