Replying to @itzyoboichad rain barrels are legal in every state in some capacity 🌧️ - HOAs or counties may have different laws and rules - Some states have restrictions on how much water you can collect There’s a LOT of misinformation online about rain barrels, I urge you to go to your individual state/county website to look up the regulations. Collecting rainwater used to be illegal because precipitation was subject to hierarchy of water rights in the mid-1800s. The restriction in most states is that it can not be used for drinking water. 11 States have restrictions, 39 offer incentives or have zero restrictions. The states with restrictions are Arkansas, California, Colorado, Georgia, Illinois, Nevada, Ohio, Utah, Virginia, Washington and Wisconsin. #Eco #Ecofriendly #LowWaste #ZeroWaste #Sustainable #Sustainability #RainWater #HarvestingRainWater #RainBarrel #RainBarrelTok #Garden #GardenTok #Gardening
