This is Cindy Crawford. She is a street dog that lives between a 7-11 and some restaurants. She is well known and everybody in the area feeds her. When I spotted her this morning she had given up and I had to lift her off her dangerous position with a kind Thai lady. You could quickly see that this was more serious than just an overfed dog. She’s losing all her fur and it’ll be gone in a week or two. She is riddled with parasites and she is 43kg / 90 Lbs when she should be half that at the very most. She seems to only be about 5 years old. She had given up on life just laying there. Despite lots of locals and tourists feeding her she is clearly a very sick dog who needs special treatment. That has now started. She can hardly walk 10 yards and she had trouble standing up on her little legs. My dream is to see her running after the moped one day in the future with the other dogs full of energy. It might take a while but we’ll get you there Cindy Crawford. Dogs are awesome. But so are humans. The world really isn't all bad. I choose this place for a walk because myself and Snoop used to walk it all the time. I'd often have depression or be trying to beat alcoholism. Sometimes I'd do 10km just walking around and around that exact area in the the rain just me and him. Walking was the only way I could keep anxiety down and it kept me away from drink. Snoop would run and run and run. Back then I'd often slip and fall down again and start drinking despite looking for answers out in that park. I'm happy to report that even though Snoop is gone now I'll never slip again as l've too much to do in his and Tina's memory. The support to me still doesn't seem real but I know there were many others there looking for a miracle like l've had or just a bit of Hope in life. Keep searching and always ask for help. None of these 5 dogs should be alive but there they were happy and reunited in London. I'd just finished with Hope on @This Morning on TV which had already melted my heart. I didn't really understand when they all said go outside. There were producers and stuff with me and I was confused. I thought they said some dog people were outside and I figured it was employees with their dogs or locals. It turns out everyone I know had been planning behind my back to have Whacker, Rodney, Moritz and Lottie there for me as a big surprise. I was trying to process it all and you can see the moment it finally dawns on me when I see Whacker. My heart was so full. That wasn't all though as long time supporter Tayla had also been planning and had organized lots of people from her community who follow to come as a surprise as well. Lovely lovely people. I'm still too busy and too shocked to process all of this stuff. I've never ever been as happy seeing the old gang back together. And all in London with their loving parents. Little buttons proves that sometimes in life dreams do indeed come true. From being dumped in the middle of the jungle in Thailand to finding her forever home with @Liam Gallagher in London. She was the only dog to ever invite herself into the little sanctuary as she had no food and nowhere to live. She had been deemed no longer cute enough by her family who moved on and left her there. Over the course of 2 weeks she slowly made friends and inched herself in. She was fully healthy so she has been in foster in Thailand with Caroline and then I took her on the trip of a lifetime. It involved boats, taxis, planes, ferries, trains and 30 hours of travel. To say she was happy when she arrived would be an understatement. She immediately befriended all the humans as well as the cats (they're not sure yet😅). Buttons did this all by herself by plucking up that courage initially looking for a better life. When the doors to that TV studio on @This Morning opened up today and lovely Steff walked in with Hope my heart absolutely melted. I remember chasing her for 2 weeks trying to catch her. Pulling the nail out of her with pliers. Her big machete wound. Her being totally shut down for weeks. Carrying her to the toilet in the jungle and waiting for an hour for her to go as she was so scared. All those things were distant memories. She was called Hope because she had absolutely none after being so badly abused. Zero. I dreamed one day she'd have it back. She absolutely does now. The tears came because they'd been asking me about beating addiction. Because of Hope proudly walking across a TV studio. It's just a person and a dog having overcome their obstacles in life. King Whacker has always had a special place in my heart and I was a bit worried sending him off to Scotland if I'm honest. He's always the big top dog but he's also a big softie under it all. It's almost as if he had to develop his big persona on the streets in order to survive. Under it all he is the biggest softie there ever was. Seeing him this week has been a huge highlight for me. Mainly seeing how happy he is with Paul and Claire his owners and his little brother Cooper. They are a wonderful little family unit. I might be able to help the dogs at the start but there are people like them who take the dogs in and give them an entire life of joy and love. My favorite story they told me was that Whacker has figured out what the oven is and that he waits beside it for food to come out of it. A long way from looking though rubbish bins on the street for food. I can't explain how much I love this dog and how happy I am for him. Whacker whisperer in my ear when I saw him that he loves his new humans more than anything in the world and that he never knew it was possible to be this happy. McMuffin got the news dogs dream of today as she is heading to a forever home in Germany. She came in a year ago covered in 30 cancerous tumors. After 3 months in the vet and 10 chemo sessions she finally was well enough to come to the land but her recover was alwas complicated but her weak immune system. She had a horrendous infection that nearly finished her and then she lost an eve because of glaucoma. Recently she's been with Valeriia who has been getting her into shape with a new diet and training. McMuffin is now fighting fit and we started getting her ready for a home. That home is with Sabrina and Dom in Germany. They are a couple who fell in love with her when here and just couldn't shake the feeling that she belonged with them in Germany. She will travel at the end of September. To take her out on the bike today and tell her about her new life was truly special. McMuffin savs thanks to all the humans who have helped her here in Samui right back to the little man who kept her alive. And also to the people online who helped pay for her huge vet bill. Buster had numerous health issues after being tied to a short chain. He had to lose an ear in a serious operation and have a major fungal infection on his tail treated. Little Billy made it to the big hospital 🥰 It was just 6 days ago that I first got word about little Billy who has been attached and slashed. It’s been a real case of being a detective since then to figure out where he came from, what happened and what’s wrong with him. 🪱We do know he has heart worm 👀 He has vision issues 🤕 His cuts are healing well 🥹 He gets insane separation anxiety We did as much as we could here on the island but last night we had to get Billy to the best dog hospital in Thailand. He needs lots of tests so we can better treat him. Everything from PTSD to Brain damage has to be checked. He’ll be there for a couple of days. It takes an army to help a tiny dog like Billy. Were it not for so many kind souls he’d be gone already. There is no way he could survive alone. Special thanks to Dara for saving him on the first night, for Neil who spent hours just sitting and holding him and of course to @mydisabledhairyfriends who has flown up there to meet all the dogs we sent today. 50% hopeful for Billy’s future but he is very poorly.
