Not going to lie….when PT told me I needed a cane for my recovery, I did not want one, didn’t like it and I think I shed a few tears. Seriously, my vanity took over and I was actually embarrassed that I would need help walking and doing simple tasks. So, my PT found a blinged out cane that he knew “Mrs. Casey” would like, so; here we are!!! Today is my first day walking in the park and practicing with her (yes, my cane has a pronoun….lol). I have to say after about 20 minutes I was exhausted and ready to return home. I know each day will get better but I am impatient and still comparing myself to my rockstar husband that was driving at 3 weeks….it will probably be 5 or 6 for me. 😢 Yes, I might be having a pity party but let me say this, I filmed all morning and am creating really good content, so there is something I should be proud of and really am. I’m not looking for sympathy….just love and support as I continue this healing journey. I told you that I would document it…the good, bad and the ugly. Let’s see where I am a few days from now.
