US-Israel Rift Rapidly Widening As US Leaks Intel About Israel’s War #usa #palestine #isreal The rift between Israel and America is widening rapidly as the US begins to delay weapon sales, issue demands, and leak intelligence showing how bloody Israel’s war has really been as Israel continues to defy it. The US is allegedly delaying the sale of over 20,000 M16s to Israel because of attacks by extremist Israeli settlers against Palestinians. The Biden administration reportedly feels that Israel isn’t doing anything to stop settler violence while Israel publicly claims that the US is exaggerating the issue. This comes on top of a report from Israeli media that outraged the White House that the National Security minister secretly ordered police to not arrest violent settlers. And last week, the US imposed sanctions on dozens of settlers whom they believe were involved in violence in the West Bank. The White House told Israel that it wants them to wrap up its ground campaign within the next three weeks and transition to a special forces approach but when Jake Sullivan went to Israel to deliver this message today, the Israeli defense minister told him that it’s actually going to take a long time, longer than several months. And now US intelligence has started leaking to CNN about Israel. With a new intelligence assessment finding that 40-45% of all bombs Israel has dropped were unguided, the rest were precision-guided munitions. A stunning finding that, if true, completely obliterates the claim that they are trying to minimize civilian casualties. Nearly 20,000 Palestinians have been killed since the war began. And on Monday, the State Department said that Israel is no exception to the US policy that anyone receiving its weapons must comply with the laws of war. If Israel is feeling the pressure, they’re certainly playing it cool - with the foreign minister saying the war against Hamas will “continue with or without international support.”
