Before you start wood staining your next project, let me share with you some new to staining tools to use other than your go-to brush or rag. One of my favorite go-to's for staining has been a rag, mostly because I can control the amount of stain applied BUT within 5 minutes you get a dry crispy rag, and you have to switch it out frequently. And although I can control the amount of stain I place on, sometimes it's an uneven stain because I frequently have to redip my rag into the stain often. A brush is also common use but I've steared away from it if I'm trying to obtain a lighter stain option. It's been better use for a prestain, final finish, dark stain, or those hard spots to get in-between. I recently discovered that miniwax is now selling stain size floor pads & a mitt glove!!! I'm telling you these are game changers. No drips, they don't get dry, they absorb stain well and for the bigger stain pad you can replace the pads and keep the tool for reuse. I'll link the staining tools on LTK for future reference . #miniwax #miniwaxstain #woodstain #woodstaining #woodstainingtips #diyprojects #stainingwood
