The Holiday season isn’t the same without homemade ornaments, right?! Did you know you can make clay-like ornaments with 3 ingredients? And cookie cutters? I found the cutest vintage looking cookies stamps at @target from Hearth and Hand and I had to try them out #targetparnter To make salt dough ornaments, you only need 3 ingredients: • 2 Cups of All-purpose Flour • 1 Cup of Salt • ½ Cup of Water (you can add a bit more if the dough feels too dry) • OPTIONAL: you can add ½ Cup of white craft paint to make them less yellow and you don’t have to paint them after if you don’t want to. Baking instructions >>>> • Bake at 175-200 ° F, it’s an ideal temperature to prevent the dough from rising and bubbling in certain areas. I had my oven a 175° F for 2 hours and then flipped my ornaments to the other side to bake evenly for another 2 hours. If your dough feels a bit wet, it will dry overtime and last for many seasons to come! • After cooling, you can paint immediately after. • To protect your paint work, think about using Mod Podge or clear Elmer’s glue to give it a final protective layer. You can use them as ornaments on your tree, garland, as toys, and gift name tags! How do you plan to use them?
