DIY Velvet Flocked Ornaments 🎄 I posted this one last year and it’s too good not to re-post! If you missed your chance at finding velvet flocked ornaments, let's make some at home! I wanted to try as many colors as I could, I hope one of these fancies your taste 🤗 In case you are wondering about the supplies I used check my LTK under my bio for links! Supplies >>> 🤎 Flock fibers 🤎 Flock tube 🤎 Flock-it color adhesive & cheap brush 🤎 Ornaments 🤎 Gloves & mask ( it gets sticky and the smell is strong) 🤎 Flashlight 🤎 Box & lining 🤎 Styrofoam and bamboo sticks Tips >>> 🤎 Working time is 15 minutes, do one at a time. 🤎 3oz fibers is a lot! I still have 80% of bag the left. 🤎 The undercoat adhesive is common to use, but other strong adhesives might hold. Worth a try! 🤎 Apply the undercoat generously, otherwise you'll have some bald spots. 🤎 Use the Flashlight! It will come in handy for a perfect coat 🤎 Drying time is about 7-12 hours, leave it drying overnight. Full curing takes 1 week, if you handle them after the 7-12 hours be careful not to press on the fibers with any pressure otherwise you'll have marks. 🤎 There's no such thing as excessive flocking, spray it on! Only the right amount will stay on per how well you flock it and generously applied the undercoat. Brush off excess fibers after the drying time indicated. 🤎 Make sure to match a similar undercoat to the fibers you are using. All turned out well except the bisque tan, I missed some areas and the brown really showed through. Hope these tips help 🤗 . . . #velvetornaments #flockedornaments #ornaments #diyornaments #ornamentsdiy #christmasdecor #christmasdiy #diychristmasdecor #holidaydecor #christmascrafts #christmastreedecorating
