Playstation went hiking and only invited their prices. #playstation5 #psplus #freegames #ps5 #playstationgames PlayStation just made a massive change that could lose them millions of users, which might result in people making the switch to Xbox. It was recently revealed that PlayStation is raising their prices on all tiers of its subscription services, and I don't believe that many people realized that this was the most affordable way to play some of the best PlayStation titles. It was even priced so well that it was arguably better than Xbox Game Pass, but after these price hikes, Game Pass is dwarfed in comparison. According to the article, PlayStation Plus Essential will be raised from $60 a year to $80. PlayStation Extra will be raised from $100 to $135, with PS Plus Premium going from $120 to $160 a year, which is a 33% to 35% price increase. Now mind you that even with this price hike, the best tier of PlayStation will cost about $14, and this is in an effort on PlayStation's end to ensure they keep bringing the best games to their subscription services. At least that's how they're validating it. Now services like Netflix, Paramount Plus, and other streaming services are around this dollar amount. So does this price change upset you, or did you kind of anticipate it coming? I want to hear from the PlayStation people on this one.
