Replying to @kaybee.3k Try this if you have restless legs: ✨Magnesium✨ If you’re new to my page, I’m Andrea Donsky, and I’m a nutritionist (18+ years), abd I’m in menopause, Menopause Educator and Menopause Researcher. If you have restless legs, you may feel like you have to move your legs a lot. It can also cause uncomfortable feelings or sensations in your legs. So how can magnesium help: ▶️ It helps to relax our muscles, regulate muscle contractions and reduce muscle spasms. ▶️ It helps with nerve function and helps to regulate the transmission of signals between the nerves and muscles. ▶️ Restless legs often get worse at night, which can disrupt your sleep. Magnesium, specifically bisglycinate, helps to improve sleep quality because it’s attached to an amino acid called glycine, which helps us to relax. ▶️ And some research points to the connection between restless legs and an imbalance in dopamine levels. Magnesium helps to regulate dopamine levels in the brain, which in turn may help to alleviate its symptoms. ▶️ Other things to try include massaging your legs, taking B vitamins—specifically B12 and folic acid, and getting your vitamin D and ferritin levels checked to see if you’re deficient in either one or both. 👉🏼 Follow for menopause education, laughs, research and support. 🦋 My menopause story: @MENOPAUSE EDUCATOR | Andrea D Lincoln 🅱️❗️🅾️ for Morphus Magnesium. #restlesslegsyndrome #restlesslegs #magnesium #menopausesymptoms #menopausesymptom
