I always receive great feedback on this exercise. I use it in class, during private lessons, and in workshops! In this video, Jordan is using his hands to learn how to lead the follow(me) through pelvic isolations as effectively and clearly as possible. Believe it or not, he is 100% leading ALL of these movements. He’s doing a great job, listening to my movement, and taking his time to properly analyze the result of his lead. The best way to guide the pelvis into motion is to understand how it rotates in different directions, the required range for each isolation (or individual), proper hand placement, etiquette, balance during transitions, etc. ALL of this requires an awareness of your partner. Tarraxinha isn’t just grinding; it’s a pelvic equation ➗✖️ that you can solve. Practicing this exercise will help optimize the balance and synchronicity between your upper body and lower body. Notice how I use my upper body to help maintain balance while my pelvis rotates. It’s an excellent exercise for both leads and follows. 🛑 FYI, having a silky waistline doesn’t guarantee that you will be a good Tarraxinha dancer. Connection to your partner and connection to yourself are key. #tarraxinha #tarraxa #tarraxo #kizomba #gouyad #waistline #isolations #pelvicisolations #howto #tutorial #tarraxinhadance #dancelesson #dancetips #mertaloba #tarraxinhatok #tarraxinhachallenge #danceinstructor #whine
