My flight was at 6:00 a.m., and I thought I’d given myself plenty of time. Little did I know that the morning would be anything but smooth. As I approached the check-in counter, the airline agent looked at my documents and frowned. My passport, due to the length of my name, displayed it didn’t align neatly with their records. The agent asked for additional identification and requested my green card for verification. Annoyed but cooperative, I handed it over, confident that it was a routine check. Minutes ticked by, then stretched into an hour. The agent had disappeared to consult with their supervisor. “Sir, we seem to have misplaced your green card,” the agent stammered. Before leaving the counter, I made it clear this wasn’t something I would let slide. I demanded the contact details for their customer service team and filed an official complaint on the spot. Mishandling such an important document was unacceptable, and I was determined to hold the airline accountable for their negligence.
