Well this peaceful tortoise video didn’t go as planned! Gabby and I were trying to take educational videos about tortoise care and compare our 3 sulcata tortoise sizes and body conditions, but Jumanji woke up and chose violence!! This is why he is alone, these tortoises can be highly territorial and at his size he would crush and kill the smaller tortoises. Even with a female we fear he would crush her trying to mate, but eventually hope to get a large enough female to go with him (For companionship, we’re not breeding them and any eggs would be recycled as food for the other animals). Baby emu’s big day out! First bath swimming with her sister Clover, and meeting the coatis!(who definitely wanted to eat the emu😭). This baby emu is the cutest thing, I literally teared up watching it in the water, so sweet and precious. If you want to see more of this, check out my sanctuary vlogs I post on YT&FB. Emus are the second-largest living bird by height, after the ostrich, and are native to Australia. They are excellent runners and can reach speeds of up to 30 miles per hour, making them one of the fastest birds on land. This little baby gets the zoomies and it’s the funniest thing to see 😂. 🐴Lily’s passing was one of the most difficult losses for me. She was one of the first animals we took in and she played a major role in starting our sanctuary. I wanted to have something extra special to always be able to look at and remember her, so I made this epoxy resin heart flower vase in honor of her. Intertwining a braid from her long mane with vibrant flowers to create a lasting tribute to her beauty and spirit. Now i can put a beautiful fresh Lily Flower in this memorial vase whenever i want, and that just fills me up with so much light and joy. Next week we are finally able to bring home Lily’s ashes and we can’t wait to have her home again with us 💛 Lily will always be remembered for her amazing resilience and kind soul 🌺💖 #animallover #animalmemorial #animalrescue #animalsanctuary
