I could not to wait to share the king oyster mushroom marrow I made! You all have been asking me for YEARS and today is my first day making a video showing every step of the cooking process! This is my promise to try to make longer and more detailed videos moving forward 🥹 Anywayssss I was craving mushrooms and with spooky season right around the corner I thought it was time to bring back making random things look like bone marrow 😂❤️ King oyster mushrooms already look like bones to me so this was an easy one. I cut off the top of the oyster mushroom then cut the stem in half- the center is really fragile so I hollowed it out with a spoon. The pieces in the middle come out really easily! This is not vegan or vegetarian because I did use wagyu fat spray for the mushroom! I seasoned the king oyster mushroom with thyme, Greek seasoning, and smoked salt then broiled it until the color turned a nice golden brown. This recipe has no waste- I used the center to make the filling! I added the king oyster mushroom scraps with maitake mushrooms (for color and flavor), butter, garlic, and sage then cooked that down. I blended the mushroom mixture with cream cheese and olive oil to make a creamy filling! I then added that mixture into a bag and piped it into the hollowed out mushrooms! My favorite part is always using the blow torch 🥹 For toppings I added pecorino cheese, pink peppercorns, Greek seasoning, and chives! I’m sure some of you are wondering what’s with all the Greek seasoning- I got an olive and basil loaf of bread for this recipe so I really wanted to highlight those flavors with the seasonings 🥹 This was so delicious #mushrooms #bonemarrow #kingoystermushrooms
