“Yeah, I’m feeling it!” I sure am too girl! This was last summer and the joy I felt in those moments is still so vivid. Witnessing Emi experience this sense of accomplishment & joy moved me deeply. And it wasn’t just that she was learning to pedal bike, it was what learning to bike did for her soul- forever shaping her belief in herself, and forever reminding me the importance of giving our children opportunities to thrive- to struggle but persevere with us by their side, supporting them as they discover how capable they are. When it comes to creating these opportunities, learning to ride a bike is on the top of my list. I remember my parents teaching me, and I wanted to carry on the tradition. Before I bought a bike for our 1st born, I did my research. I wanted to set him up for success so he’d love biking, and so biking could be a part of our family life. I discovered @woombikesusa & we bought the woom Original 1 balance bike. That was 6 years ago, and we’ve been a woom family ever since. And now I’ve been a #woompartner for over a year. I absolutely love collaborating with woom, and together inspiring parents and kiddos to learn to ride. As you see in this video, setting kids up for success on bikes is twofold- emotional support from us & bikes that equally support them! Woom makes this possible. Woom bikes are designed to be lightweight, that kids can lift & maneuver- the woom 2 is 12.3 lbs! Fit is another critical factor. Woom bikes are designed for kids, not downsized adult components, with kid ergonomics so they feel comfortable… and with good fit comes safety. I ❤️ the tiny brakes that encourage learning braking early. Woom bikes also withstand heavy use- Emi’s woom 2 was Elliot’s and loaned out in-between. It still works like new, and 2023 update- Emi got a Power Pink woom 2 last fall and the Yellow pedal bike is now Teddys. #woombikesusa #pedalbike #riderforlife #bikingwithkids #woommagicmoments #paidpartnership #raisingkids #parenting #momlife
