San Francisco Police Department, in a statement on Thursday, confirmed that a break-in occurred around 6:40 p.m. on Monday at Alamo Square Park. A sergeant on proactive patrol duty in the vicinity was alerted to the break-in. The officer promptly arrived at the scene of the theft, finding the suspect outside the stolen vehicle attempting to escape. The suspect abandoned the stolen items and drove away. The video recorder verified that the police officer arrived while the theft was ongoing. In the final seconds of the full video, the officer can be seen reversing the car before driving towards the white Lexus. The police pursued the suspect, but he eluded them, and the vehicle was not located. No injuries were reported, and the family reclaimed their belongings. Approximately five minutes later, the video recorder noticed the white Lexus calmly returning to the Alamo Square Park vicinity. It was not being chased by police cars. Around 30 minutes later, two patrol cars were seen talking to the driver. The video's original poster on TikTok did not anticipate its popularity. However, a Daly City resident, recognizing his recently stolen car, was pleased with the video. He identified it through unique carbon fiber parts and the distinct sound of the exhaust system. He reported the video to Daly City police, who were already investigating the theft. The Alamo Square Park break-in is also under active investigation by SFPD. #Police #Cops #Cop #Lawyer #Attorney #Court #Courts #LawSchool #SanFrancisco #California
