Kinda Interesting Things #114: The Most Beautiful Pollo Loco in L.A. In the Lincoln Heights neighborhood of LA, there’s a Pollo Loco that’s located in a historical landmark. Back in 1910, the Federal Bank Building was built in Lincoln Heights and was recognized as the first building in Los Angeles built in the shape of a triangle — lauded as a primary example of Classical Revival architectural style. Then in 1993, after it was closed for a few years, the building was reopened as a Pollo Loco. According to the LA Times, it was the first time in the city’s history that a fast food restaurant opened in a genuine historical landmark. Sources: “Bank Goes From Cold Cash To Hot Chicken” (L.A.
