I was shopping for a liquid blush showdown when this appeared on amazon, and my mind was blown at how identical this Lakerain product attempted to be of the @Rare Beauty soft pinch liquid blush. I was so curious to see this for myself, so we purchased this for educational purposes only. And also plan on returning. So here I walk through every detail and the nuances step by step of just how much Lakerain attempted to completely copy @Selena Gomez’s brand. Here is why I would never personally pick this product over an original, and a lot of what I talk about here translates to other dupes / knockoffs as well. Particularly with the Lakerain liquid blush product, this liquid blush has a wiper so large you can’t even see the clear rod through the bulk. When this kind of sloppy release of product happens, it’s a clear indicator that eventually the bulk will continue to collect on the rim with each use, to the point that it will gather and spill out with every closure. The level of flocking on the doe foot is also not as comfortable on application, and the aesthetic of the logo in relationship to the cap is uneven. They even stole the adorable heart inside the flocked applicator, which kind of blew my mind. 🤯 To be clear, this is not even a dupe, but a knockoff. The application and formula didn’t impress me much either. Next part is application! #makeup #beauty #rarebeauty #rarebeautyblush #liquidblush #doop #beautyproductevaluationsbyalexis
