This famous Chicago steakhouse from the group behind Au Cheval and 4 Charles actually preceded and inspired 4 Charles. You all know how much we love the burgers at Au Cheval NYC and 4 Charles, and our visit to the original Au Cheval in Chicago did not disappoint. What makes this burger so special is the incredible balance of flavors and textures: from the thin juicy prime beef patties, to the sweet thick-cut bacon, to the perfect blend of dijonnaise, pickle, and egg yolk, all between a shiny toasted brioche bun. When you’re on a Chicago burger tour, and you just ate an entire burger at Au Cheval, the natural thing to do is wash it down with another one from its fast-food counterpart.
