Ever wonder why I wear dark colors during my dives? Well it’s not just for looks! There’s actually science backed reason as to why you will never see me in the water wearing high contrast colors such as yellow, also referred to as “yum yum yellow” as @oceanramsey and I like to call it 😉, orange or white. This is because the colors listed above are considered high contrast colors in the shark world. See, sharks vision is monochromatic which means they see colors on a grey scale. Which is why you’ll notice my dive gear is in either blue, black, gray, or green. I know white gear looks so beautiful underwater but it’s better to be safe than sorry! Let me know what your favorite color to dive in is in the comments! ⬇️ Aloha 🤙🏽🦈 #sharkfacts #marinebiology #marinescience #sharkbiology #tigersharks #oneoceandiving #sharkohotographer #underwaterphotography #freediving #guydivingwithsharks #cagefreesharkdiving #sharkdivehawaii #oahu #freedivewithsharks #sharkawareness #protectsharks #sharkid_sandra
