Chicken & Rice Recipe 📌 a classic! Macros: 485cal | 31g protein | 9.5g fat | 55g carbs | serves 6 Ingredients: * 750g or about 5 chicken drumsticks (can use breast or thighs if preferred) * 3 cups reduced sodium chicken broth * 1 cup water * seasonings: 1 tbsp onion powder, garlic powder, course black pepper * 1/2 tbsp tony’s creole seasoning and chicken bouillon * accent or salt to taste (optional) * 1 packet lipton onion seasoning * 3 stalks celery * 1/2 large sweet onion * 1-2 10.5oz cans 98% fat free cream of chicken (campbells brand used) * 2 cups uncooked WASHED jasmine rice Notes: * combine broth, water, seasonings, onion and celery and bring to a boil * add chicken in and boil for about 35min, take it out, shred it, then put back in (i remove any fat/skin) * add both cans of cream of chicken soup (optional accent seasonings to enhance flavors) * add WASHED uncooked jasmine rice , let cook with top on on medium low heat for about 18-20 minutes (don’t over cook it, u don’t want your rice soggy) * if you’d like it less soupy, decrease water/broth content (but be mindful, the uncooked rice will absorb liquid as it cooks) * ** rice may stick to the bottom of the pot while cooking, you probably can stir it throughout to avoid it** #highprotein #lowfat #protein #fatloss #caloriedeficit #lowcalorie #mealprep #weightloss #macrofriendly #chickenandrice #foodie #macros #gymfood #chicken #chickenrecipe
