I never could have imagined that joining a trip to Spain and Africa, with a random girl from Tennessee that I met on an online travel forum in 2017 would change the trajectory of my life forever. When I was 15, within me I found a thirst for travel and one day my mom came home with a travel booklet. Adventure stayed on my heart ever since that day. When I was 17 and during my senior year of high school, I got homeschooled so I could work all year and save money to travel. A month after my 18th birthday I took my first flight and my first international trip to Barcelona, Málaga, Casablanca, and Marrakech. I spent my graduation day in Marrakech and it was in Málaga when I thought to myself: "Spain feels like home. In 2019, I tried to move to Madrid. I was there for 3 months. I didn't like Madrid and I still don't till this day. Lol. But Spain never left my mind, my soul, or my heart. So in 2021, I decided to go again but only for a little while so I thought.. but here I still am. It has been a long journey to get to this point but you will never understand or believe me when I say that God has made a way and has been here every step of the way. Opening doors and opportunities for me to live out my dreams and my deepest desires. When I sit and think about it, it really just doesn't make sense. It could only be God that made everything possible. I think my favorite thing of all on this journey has been how much I've transformed. I would've never thought that these past few years would turn me inside out and make me the person I am today. And truly, the journey has just begun and I am constantly thanking God for even bringing me this far. #livinginbarcelona #livingabroad #blackgirlswhotravel #nothingisimpossible #movingtospain #travelstories
