Save this post for the next time you want to skip a workout. 🏷️ Something that is important to note before I reveal this list of motivating things I say to myself, is that first you need to evaluate whether it is actually time for a rest day or if it is a matter of you wanting to skip, out of lack of self discipline. Also evaluate your motive. Are you about to workout because its something that will help boost your day and elevate your lifestyle or are you working out to counteract something that you ate earlier or to look like your favorite influencer online. All of these things can be ‘motivating’ but its the reason you are working out that will determine how consistent you will be. When I decide that I should take that step with a healthy mindset, here are 10 things I say to myself to get that motivation back and just go for it: 1. “Excuses wont get me closer to my goals — action will.” 2. “I’m building resilience and confidence every time that I workout because I can trust that I will stay true to my word to myself” 3. “Consistency is key, and every workout counts towards my progress no matter how short it is, or even if its a light stretch” 4. “I know I have a 30 minute workout planned for today, but ill start with a 10 minute dance party and see where im at after that.” 5. “I am in control of my choices, and today I CHOOSE to move my body with intention” 6. “I am so thankful for the ability I have to move my body and feel so good in my own skin. I am going to express my gratitude by taking advantage of this opportunity” 7. “Taking care of my body is a form of self-care and I know I will feel so much better mentally and physically after this workout” 8. “Pushing through todays resistance will make future workouts that much easier to commit to.” 9. “I am not the only one who struggles with this feeling. Others have pushed past it and got it done, and so can I” 10. “How can I make future me proud today?” Save this post for the next time you want to skip your workout #workoutmotivation #motivation #dance #danceworkout #transformation #workoutresults
