Feeding sharks has been a very controversial subject, but in places like the Bahamas, where they have protected sharks fully because of the economic value that dives like this provide, shows the value of this type of activity. Island nations like this, where fishing is one of the only other opportunities for employment, Shark Diving, benefits locals that get to run these dives. Astudy done there said that one shark is worth $1 million in ecotourism versus a dead shark for its fin is only worth $100. the other big component is that commercial fishing is taking all the resources out of the ocean, so sharks and other animals are starving because of this, the least we could do to reduce our impact is to throw our fishing waste back into the environment that it came from. However, we do have to do this responsibly and not do it at beaches where people are swimming, but in further remote areas where humans do not frequent unless it is under guidance from a dive professional like this video. #sharks #sharkst#sharkattacho#sharkconservations#weneedsharkse#ApexPredatorNotMonstera#sharkbaith#tigersharks#bahamas
