This is how you turn your art design into a shirt! #1: Screenprinting - you can learn how to screen print yourself, or you can have someone else do it for you. Screenprinting is great with one color designs! The advantages of screen printing is that it lasts the longest out of all the methods and doesn’t peel off. It takes the longest to set up, however! #2: DTF (direct to film) and #3 vinyl transfer: You will use a special printer to print your designs onto a transfer sheet and use a heat press to get it on. This is a great method if you can use a heat press to transfer your image onto the shirt. It’s also the most cost-effective one! I don’t use this method since I want my shirts to be durable through years of washing, which doesn’t usually happen with DTF or vinyl. #4: Direct to graphic: This is a special machine that essentially spray paints the image onto the shirt! Some shirt shops will offer this and have a. Low MOQ when they have a D2G machine. If you are looking to sell shirts, I would strongly recommend figuring out how to manufacture shirts yourself and testing to see if people like shirts before you release them! If you don’t have the tools to manufacture shirts, the best advice I can give in terms of manufacturing is finding a local printer to work with and release as low of an MOQ was possible that you can! #tshirtbusiness #tshirtmaking #screenprinting
