The third script poster I ever made was for my all-time favorite film Luca. Then I made it again entirely in Italian in a process that was almost certainly the most time put into a single poster. And while I’m proud of the original, my style and skills have developed in the nearly 2 years since I made it; and every time I look at it, all I see are all the things I would’ve done differently. Which is why I decided to remake it. I chipped away at this for about 8 months on the side, and I wrote the final letter while I was actually in Cinque Terre (the region where Luca is set). The design is taken directly from concept art that was released when the film was announced. Like the first poster, the color scheme is made up of hues from the actual characters and environment from the film. I tried so desperately to include Giulia, my favorite character, somewhere in the design, but there just wasn’t any place to put here that wasn’t crowding the poster. I’m sorry, @Emma J Berman! It took some time to make this one just right, but I’m glad that I did. Prints are available now. #lucapixar #pixarluca #lucapaguro #albertoscorfano #luca2021 #giuliamarcovaldo #enricocasarosa #cinqueterre
