Here are some tips: *Inserting the cupcakes - use 2 x tissue squares, 12cm by 12cm, this helps to hold the cupcake and fills gaps so the cups are not showing through *Wrapping it up - brown tissue paper is 50cm x 37cm, cellophane is 70cm x 70cm *When wrapping the bouquet, make pleats with the cellophane and secure with sellotape *When adding the cupcakes, I like to insert all the same designs before moving on to the next design and always add my statement flowers last. I think it gives better placement and creates height differences. *And because I know there will be at least one comment, the staples don't go anywhere near the actual cakes and are completely safe 🙂 Seeing it fully assembled is my favourite part. I have used a coupler for nozzles 233 & 352 since they were going to be the same icing colour, this just helps cut down waste of multiple piping bags. When it comes to two toning buttercream there are two ways in which I do it. First, I line the bag up with one colour and then add in the main colour. I mainly do this for buttercream flowers as I often only need a small amount and find this easier with less waste. This is the technique you will see me use most often. However, if I need to decorate a cake, I will mainly use the cling film method. This is where you line up your colours on cling film, turn it into a sausage ☺️ and place it in a piping bag. This video will show you this technique. This is a great way if you have a lot of icing to do as you can work with more buttercream in your bag and will save time having to re-load your bag if doing the first technique.
