Here’s to making the sheaf fly high on Saturday in Estes Park! 🤞 Super grateful that I invested time in locking down my sheaf form a few years ago so that even when life gets in the way of prepping as I’d like for a games, I’ve still got a solid throw in my back pocket. NGL there were plenty of moments both this weekend in Pleasanton and the weekend before in Switzerland that I felt like I was throwing better than I deserved; better than what I felt like I’d “earned,” just based on recent prep. But when I tell you I have put in the work over the years, I. Have. Put. In. The. Work. And I’ll always advocate for throwers to lock down their form on height events. Because once you have a reliable, consistent, quality throw for WoB and sheaf, it’ll always be there when you need to call on it. This weekend, I cleared 24’ and 27’ on my first attempts, and amid an absolutely stacked pro women’s world championship class, that was good enough to place 2nd. As @olympian4x would say: “Useful.” #highlandgames #heavyathletics #heavyathlete #yeet #throw #thrower #kilt #kilted #tartan #ClanCampbell #sports #athlete #womeninsports #over40 #weightlifting #olympiclifting #powerlifting #rugby #rollerderby #trackandfield #strongman #strongwoman #grrrlarmy #yeetthepatriarchy #strongernotsmaller #hardertokill #takeupspace #throwsgenius #janinethrows #sheaftoss
