Spilling the tea ☕️🫖⤵️ Ya ever have one of those days…?? (weeks, months, years! Lol) My artistic inspiration comes in waves. Winding down from holiday shipping I honestly haven’t been in “artist” mode for weeks, haven’t been making things & really haven’t been inspired to at all. That’s normal for me and probably alot of other artists I assume. I’ll go days where all I want to do it make new things and play with rocks and metal turning them into cool things for people to wear. I’ll also go days where I can’t seem to get myself inspired and even when I try to make things I never like how they turn out. So the last few weeks with holiday shipping I’ve been out of “artist mode” and was trying this week to get back into it. Back to creating some new pieces again, and finally the last 2 days I’ve really wanted to make new things!! Awesome right??! Right…. So of course for the first time in what feels like years I got sick. I never get sick thankfully. But I still had the urge to make things so I got me and the pups together, walked Savannah gathering sticks & twigs and headed into the studio… But still not going as planned lol. Turning found twigs from the stunning live oak trees here in Savannah into tiny pieces of art… I manipulate the twigs into frame like settings before choosing the perfect stones to sit within the tiny frame.
