Propagating your snake plants is super easy! There are many ways to do this, but this way is just one of them.🌱 Always use clean scissors and notch a V on the end. Cover with water just above the cut and place in a sunny spot. Add a water soluble fertilizer once you have an inch of root growth. One of the more difficult to propagate in my opinion are snake plants! Here’s my 2 month experiment results. I let the cuttings dry out for 2 days before I put them in water and perlite. It gave the cuts ends times to callous. For the ones in water, it was in a cup with only enough water to cover the tips at all times. I changed water weekly. For the perlite ones, I kept the perlite damp and uncovered. I lost a couple bits to rot but the others held on well and luckily all the ones left have rooted. Another option is to place them in soil to root but I have had 0 success rooting them this way. They have rotted. I puke so many props into a small jar…maybe being in close quarters helps the props?
