Tips for keeping your big dogs joints happy and healthy 💜 1. Even though they can do it themselves, the impact over time of jumping up and down off things can be harmful to their joints and muscles. Help them with things like getting in and out of the car, get a ramp if you can’t lift them, help them onto the bed or off the couch. ✅ 2. A raw food diet packed with lots of essential nutrients in particular omegas can be extremely helpful to your dogs joints long term. We feed ours salmon based raw food so it’s packed with plenty of nutrients to keep their joints healthy. 🐟 If you’re feed kibble make sure the main ingredient is meat, as most kibbles are filled with processed crap ❌. 3. Good quality supplements can be vital for your dogs long term health! We use @Ultrak9- Pro which we have noticed huge improvement in their energy, movement and coat🐾 4. Limit high impact exercise like fetch or jumping. We try for low impact walks, or a slow game of tug of war. If we do play fetch we only do once a week and for 5-10min max. 🐶 5.
