Instead of leaving a bad review (as I know how detrimental that can be to business), I gave the host private feedback, hoping they implement my suggestions ⭐️ This Airbnb had so many issues and let me explain why: 1. Hosts should be transparent about the home and neighborhood. If your neighborhood looks a little “sketch” like this one, convey the truth in photos to avoid setting any unrealistic expectations. 2. Somewhere like Puerto Rico where it’s hot AF, the AC should be on an eco temperature, so when your guests arrive it feels comfortable. This house felt 110° inside and smelled so bad. As a host, nothing is worse than starting off your guest’s experience on a bad note 🫣. 3. Functionality should trump design! Of course design is a key factor when creating a short term rental but the design should go hand and hand with functionality. The gate closing on its own would make it impossible for a solo traveler to park in the driveway without hitting their car. The bedroom wall design material covers all outlets so the only option to charge your phone and any other devices is across the room. Everyone is on their phone in bed. If your phone is dying your sh*t out of luck at this property - Read a book I guess.. 🤓 4. While the snacks are a nice gesture, being expired tells me they’ve had those sitting around for a while. As a host, you’re better off not providing them at all or make sure checking the expiration dates is a part of your staff’s checklist. 5. The bathroom speaks for itself. Save the cute stickers and focus on the cleaning 🤝🏼. 6. The “lock yourself inside” to lock the door mechanism is crazy unsafe! Imagine not knowing where the key is, then spending 30 seconds to unlock it in the case of emergency 🚨. I would definitely not stay here again! Would you!?
