What was supposed to be a day of celebration for Ezekiel on becoming cast free has quickly come to an end. The doctor has decided he wants cast to stay on to ensure his legs will stay straight while we wait for his leg braces to be created which will take a month or so. It has been a morning full of tears and heartbreak but just like everything else, we will overcome this too. We completely understand and respect the doctors decision and know he is doing what's best for Ezekiel but it doesn't make it any easier for us. Ezekiel is finally able to manage his new cast/post op from major leg surgery without medicine for the last few days now! This video was towards the end of of taking medicine when Zeke was just sick and tired of it all. Ezekiel ended up getting his cast removed, they did x-rays and his legs were healed enough to move into new leg casts! They are much more freeing than this one thankfully. Ezekiel is very sore and in quite a bit of pain as his body is getting used to being out of the cast again.
