CHALLENGE ACCEPTED😉 bc is why I continue to make corny jokes and have fun with the things I can’t change! So many people are hurting and fighting silent battles we know nothing about. After my life literally blew up in my face (when I was less than 3ft from the 1st 💣 at the Boston Marathon) I couldn’t even leave my house. I was having nightly conversations staring up at my ceiling asking “how am I EVER going to pick up the pieces of my life again? How am I ever going to live like this?” It was DEBILITATING. But as challenging and difficult as it was (and still is) at times, I slowly started putting the pieces back together. One. Step. At. A. Time. Life is hard, absolutely. 76 surgeries and the loss of my left leg below the knee is a lot to take in, even now. But I believe that if we still have a beat in our chest and air in our lungs, we have PURPOSE. And we may not always have control over what happens, but we always have control over how we respond. Our lives are worth living, not just surviving.
