@Rob takes a flavorful leap as kids in Uganda convince him to savor the unique taste of matungulu pori. Matungulu pori, also known as ntondolo (Lingala), ntundu (Kikongo), or wild cardamom, is a fruit native to tropical Africa. It's from the Aframomum genus, in the same family as ginger and turmeric. The fruit is about the size of a grape and has a dark purple or black skin with a fleshy, acidic pulp and black seeds. Matungulu pori is used in traditional African medicine for a variety of ailments, including stomach problems, coughs, and fever. It is also used as a spice in cooking, and its seeds can be ground into a powder that is used as a coffee substitute. 🎥 @explorob 📍 Uganda #ugandatravel #visituganda #ugandatiktok #uniquefoods #uniquefruit #foodieadventure
