[AD] The fact these pies cost me less than $3.50 each, I can make them with my eyes closed & the kids love them every single time! Makes me feel like I’m doing at least one thing right in my life 🥴 I came up with this recipe during lockdown when we were craving a classic kiwi bakery pie, and they immediately became a family favourite & weekly staple. It’s a dream come true to share this recipe for @Food_In_A_Minute, and I hope it brings your whanau together around the dinner table, just as it has for us. Ingredients: * 1 onion, finely chopped * 550g chicken thighs or breast, roughly chopped * 2/3 cup Watties Frozen Mixed Vegetables * 1 can Watties Condensed Creamy Chicken Soup * Flaky puff pastry sheets * Grated mozzarella cheese Instructions: 1. Heat olive oil in a large frying pan, add onion & chicken & sauté for about 10 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through. 2. Remove the pan from the heat and transfer the onion and chicken mixture to a food processor. Pulse until the chicken and onion are roughly chopped. 3. Return the chicken mixture to the frying pan, add @Watties_NZ Frozen Mixed Veges and the can of Creamy Chicken Condensed Soup. 4. Stir to combine and cook for about 5 minutes, or until the vegetables are cooked through and the sauce is heated. Season with salt and pepper to taste. 5. Transfer into a pie dish lined with pastry. OR.. 6. Cut out circles of flaky puff pastry that are the right size to fit into your pie maker or greased muffin dish. Place the circles into the pie maker, and spoon the chicken mixture into each one. 7. Sprinkle grated mozzarella cheese on top and then cover with another circle of pastry. 8. Brush with egg wash or olive oil and sprinkle with sesame seeds. 9. Close the lid of the pie maker and cook the pies for about 10-12 minutes, or until the pastry is golden brown and crispy. 10. If you prefer to make one large pie, bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown. #familyrecipes #kidfriendlyrecipe #kidfriendlyfood #familymealideas #familymeals #familyrecipeideas #momtok #pietok #chickenpie #winnerwinnerchickendinner #chickenpierecipe #kidfriendlymeals #kidfriendlydinner #nzmum #nztiktok #newzealandtiktok #sahmtok
