This is my cozy kitchenette that I’ve wanted to update for years. When I first moved into this apartment, I loved its small, cozy feel, but the kitchen presented a challenge. The dated space felt unwelcoming and cooking often felt like a battle against the limited room. A few months ago, I decided to tackle this project and transform the space into something special. I started by replacing the countertop with white marble and then made smaller changes, such as switching to a deeper sink, installing a vintage gold brass faucet, and updating the switch templates to gold brass. These changes had a significant impact. However, my favorite part was experimenting with the backsplash, which took me a while to decide. Using peel-and-stick tiles gave me the freedom to explore styles until I found the one that resonated with me. Now, I love how this small space seamlessly connects with the rest of the room, making cooking a more enjoyable experience. Creating a personalized space is crucial for sparking inspiration and fostering a sense of comfort.
