Wellβ¦ that didnβt go as planned. As far as what to feed, if itβs kept outdoors, it will catch all that it needs. Indoors though you can feed your flytrap one to two live insects per month you can feed flies, spiders, crickets and slugs, or mealworms are appropriate during the growing season (spring and summer). The live food triggers the hairs on the traps letting it know that itβs something good to eat and stay closed to digest. Now for this one, itβs been in winter dormancy so itβs been working on growing larger and stronger. That mealworm must have been too strong for this baby or the trap didnβt accept it and the meal worm made its escape. Iβll wait a little longer to feed and try again π« .
