FACE TO FACE with a mile+ wide wedge tornado! This was the second powerful tornado produced by a supercell in South-Central Oklahoma north and west of the Davis-Sulphur area. This wedge initially formed north of Davis and passed just north of Sulphur. I am convinced that if this tornado had taken a slightly further south track, it probably would've received an EF-5 rating. Just a monster twister that was officially rated an EF-3. This tornado (and the EF-4 before it) formed along a remnant stalled boundary on a very unstable day. Boundaries on days like that, with good wind shear, can be prolific tornado machines. Storms seemed to tornado along this boundary most of the day, stretching further east and deep into SW Oklahoma. A really memorable chase. #tornado #twister #nature #oklahoma #wedgetornado #wedge #massive #wow #scary #weather
