I quit my job in 2018 & never worked for anyone else since then. Self taught seamstress/artist, solo mother, & proud rez girl who decided to go for it. When covid shut down pow wows, i had to adapt to survive for my daughter & I. I taught myself to draw digitally and sold out of my first sticker collection. I invested back into my business to buy a cricut & heat press. Eventually demand was high so now I outsource my printing locally. I then again, invested back into my business so I can carry other items such as ribbon, beads, & fabric - most recently, i became a distributor for hides, & furs! I now have 4 amazing contract workers who help me at events and with stocking, organizing & other 4GC duties! When I open my storefront in Sept/Oct, the next step is my own DTG printer which will keep my funds in house instead of outsourcing, give me another avenue of revenue, & be able to train inspire and hire youth from our community! My dream machine is $24,695 & the grand prize is $25k! 🤞🏽💖✨✨✨✨ #powwowpitch #nativebusiness #shopify #rbc #mastercard #indigenousbusiness @Pow Wow Pitch ❤️
