ʏᴏᴜʀ ᴀ - ᴢ ɢᴜɪᴅᴇ ᴛᴏ ᴀʀᴀʙ ʀᴇᴄɪᴘᴇꜱ — ᴀ ꜱᴇʀɪᴇꜱ 𝗔 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗔𝗶𝘀𝗵 𝗔𝗹 𝗦𝗮𝗿𝗮𝘆𝗮 — (‘palace bread’) a popular Arab dessert consisting of syrup-soaked toasted bread that’s topped with ashta & crumbed pistachios. This is a really simple make ahead recipe. Here’s what you need: 1 batch Ashta see here for recipe @thelebaneseplate Sugar Syrup see here for recipe @thelebaneseplate 6 slices brioche, crusts removed 25g unsalted butter, melted 1/2 cup pistachios, crushed 1. Brush a pie dish with half the melted butter. 2. Place brioche in one layer all over the bottom of the dish. Cut pieces to size to fit. 3. Place dish in a preheated oven at 180°C for 10 minutes until bread is toasted and golden. 4. Pour sugar syrup all over the bread to soak, leaving some syrup for serving. 5. Spread ashta over the top of the bread & smooth the top. 6. Sprinkle with the crushed pistachios & refrigerate overnight to set. 7.
