4 weeks ago, I had a feeling that I was starting to get sick. The next morning I woke up to a fever of 104.9°. Over the next 8 days, I battled a severe sickness of covid & influenza a. After finally overcoming the sickness, i finally started to feel better again… Suddenly, just a few days after I started feeling good again, I woke up to a fever of 104° yet again. This time, completely new symptoms. Coughing, Sweats, Chills, Headaches, Vomiting, Shortness of Breath, Wheezing, Loss of Voice, Stomach Pain, and much more.. It was truly the worst sickness I’ve ever had. After going to the doctor, they now tell me that I have influenza b, step throat, and possibly pneumonia. For the next week I keep fighting the sickness, but my fever will not fall under 100°… So, I decided to try a new doctor. When I got to the doctor and described my terrible month of sickness, she did a few tests and began almost panicking and telling me that I need to go to the ER immediately because she believes I have a life threatening infection in my bloodstream called Sepsis. On the way to the hospital, I was in a state of shock. I hadn’t been sick in over 3 years, and now my body can’t even fight off the flu as i’m on the way to the hospital thinking my life could end shortly.. When I arrived at the hospital, they pumped me full of IV’s trying to do whatever they could to get the fever down after 4 weeks. They then began to do X-rays, blood tests and much more to discover if I actually had this life threatening blood infection. After hours & hours of tests, and IV’s, they finally got my temperature down and released me from the hospital with the amazing news that I don’t have sepsis & that my body was just really struggling to fight off what I was going through for those 4 weeks. Fast forward to 3 days later, I have now been without a fever for 2 days, my voice is starting to come back, i’ve had my first meal in almost 3 weeks, and I am finally not in any pain. I will spend the next few months working on getting back to being fully healthy again. Your prayers and support did not go unnoticed. They truly meant a lot and helped me get through this hard time ❤️
