🦋 Systemic Lupus Erythematosus (SLE) SLE, or Lupus, is an autoimmune disease that causes systemic inflammation of the connective tissues. * Phagocytosis → Body’s process of “eating” apoptotic cells. * In SLE, phagocytosis is impaired.
