We do 2-3, 15-25 minute sessions a day. One of them we work on a life skill, like cooking, washing dishes, cleaning toys, etc. One of those sessions we also go over our learning wall. I’ll use songs to review, we will play games, sometime I let her walk me through a posters herself (this is something new…she’s exploring pretend play a lot more and likes to be the teacher but it works). It might seem repetitive but truly that is what has helped. Don’t ever think your over doing it by spending a few minutes everyday going over a few poster. I have not shown a ton about our learning routines just because my main focus is helping her learn. We are working around some learning curves at the moment and without just telling all of Oakley’s business (🥹😅) I’m just choosing to work through those first before we start digging into how she learns. Also I am no professional by any means so at the moment while we are waiting to introduce learning professionals into the mix to help her I have just been researching and grabbing the tools I think she will benefit from most. Now in full transparency teaching this young will test your patience on a whole nother level. But I have found that letting her lead has helped. If there’s a time we can only sit for 5-10 minutes don’t force them. We want it to be a space they enjoy. 5 mins going over alphabets is better than nothing. These posters have helped so freaking much! It’s her favorite space. Even if you get them and just pull them out every once & a while or put up one at a time I couldn’t recommend them more! These were my favorite purchase last year hands down. #toddleractivities #toddlermom #toddlerhomeschool #toddlerlearning #homeschoolroom #homeschoolmom
