Reverse use of automatic curtain opener /curtain robot. Canvas is on a sliding rail and the curtain robot is attached to an old curtain pole fitted into canvas frame. It took a while to find the right product to automatically open the canvas. After looking at various hydrolic arms, automatic window sliders, actuators, even gate openers. most were too large to fit behind the canvas or wouldn't open the exact amount needed. The robot can be programmed to open/close the exact amount required. and happy it worked out the cheapest. It's bluetooth but can also be linked to wifi with a Mesh Gateway.
