POSING TIPS FOR BEGINNERS 💕 have had a lot of questions on modeling & posing on set so I hope this helps🥰 Wanted to give a few tips if your a beginner!! - Practice! Just like anything practicing your poses is essential for when you’re actually in front of a camera. When I first began I would practice by finding my angles in the mirror what looked good and what didn’t. Adding triangles within your posing helps!! (Legs, arms, etc.) As I found my good angles I focused on moving fluidly from one angle to another. Finding inspo from your favorite models or Pinterest can help broaden your range of different looks & styles. Posing can be standing, sitting, kneeling etc. and you want to be able to do it all fluidly! For women I think thinking staying feminine makes it easier. Such as soft hands when moving from pose to pose. Depending on what you’re shooting you want to be able to fit the look. -Movement: when you’re on set/location in front photographer you want to be able to fluid. Staying fluid and natural usually comes out better than very posed pictures! When you feel stuck try using props, objects, clothing, to engage with different things naturally. - Face/hands: honestly a werid one but if you don’t know what to do with your face or hands here are some tips. For your face again, in the mirror is great practice to find angles on how high or low to level your face depending on lighting! For pictures always try to glance at different things around not just the camera. For more serious pics- keep your mouth with a slight opening! But overall the in between natural pics from pose to pose are usually the best ones. -Confidence: obviously this is big one! When you one set truly just own what you’re doing. Remember what looks good on you and stay comfortable and natural. Communicating with the photographer is also very helpful to know what’s going on as well. Overall if you’re on set! Music on. Practice. Come prepared with the vibe and confidence.
