I had a conversation with a friend the other night where we were asked to discuss a question at Church: If you were having a conversation with God, what’s one thing you hope he would say to you? Both of us had the same answer. We would hope that God would tell us we are doing great. Despite loving social media and learning a lot about motherhood, I often find myself comparing my mothering skills to others online, leading to #momguilt. I worry about giving my child enough attention, giving her too much attention, not teaching her enough, not being outside enough, not slowing down enough for her, lacking patience, not cooking enough vegetables for her—the list goes on. But one thing that brings me peace is knowing that God chose me to be Madison’s mommy. He entrusted her to me, knowing that I am what she needs. God determines the times and places where we should live, the families we will be in (Acts 17:26-27), and although I don’t always understand the why behind his decisions, I trust that he knows best as our creator. So if you’ve read all of this, I want to remind you that you’re doing great! 🤟🏼 @Bluey #bluey #motherhood #momlife #momguilt #parenting #parents #mom #mamabear #momanddaughter #momproblems #momstrong #disney #motherhoodquotes #motherhoodunplugged #motherhoodthroughinstagram #motherhoodjourney #momcommunity #yourenotalone #youredoinggreat
