This is what I’m looking for👇 Marlowe’s ability to look at a trigger (ie something that worries her), & use her mind to work through it instead of immediately reacting (ie barking or lunging) From here, I’m looking for a recovery Her recovery is a shake off, the bigger the shake the bigger the feelings! When we first adopted her, she wouldn’t shake off a worrisome experience for the LONGEST time She’d hold on to a “negative” experience & over think it, which would result in trigger stacking Now, while she still over thinks sometimes, she’s mostly able to see a trigger (usually a human, bc poor girl thinks all humans are out to get her 😔), use her brain to assess the situation, check in with me and then let it go I work with a local trainer to help & Marlowe’s progress is mind blowing! I feel like the more I learn, the less I know. Highly recommend in person training if you can! Does your dog do a shake off, too? #dogtraining #dogtrainingtips #dogsofinstagram #dogmomtips #positivereinforcement
