I have always struggled with acne my entire life, but they've gotten more serious these past few years π© Since the majority of my breakouts tend to be cystic, hormonal fluctuations are usually the culprit of these bad breakouts. And there can be so many different factors impacting your hormones like diet, stress, and where you are in your menstrual cycle (if you menstruate)! After dealing with some gut issues last year, I started working with a nutritionist to help rebalance my gut and along the way, I realized that coffee, sugar, and gluten all can impact my skin π But cutting out sugar, coffee, and gluten from your diet is pretty difficult, especially when I cut out dairy several years ago. The even more nuanced issue I'm learning is that these foods have different impacts to my skin depending on where I'm at in my cycle. I haven't completely cut out sugar, coffee, and gluten, but I'm still learning when are the optimal times to indulge without it impacting my skin. But if youre suffering from hormonal acne, I see you and feel your pain π Keep testing and see if any of these food groups are impacting your skin like mine! π₯² Luckily, Iβve found a supplement that has helped reduce my hormonal acne significantly and I can't wait to share more about it soon (just want to test it a bit longer before sharing :) #cysticacne #hormonalacne #glutenfree #dairyfree #acnetips #acnetriggers #acnetreatment
