Herbarium Jars🌸 Preserve cherished memories and capture the essence of special moments using any jar with a cork or lid, dried, pressed flowers + plants and baby oil! Wedding, graduation, prom, even funeral flowers can be transformed into beautiful keepsakes with this technique. Create different sized displays in jars or containers and illuminate the petals and stems with sunlight. It’s magical! Enjoy your herbarium for up to a year or longer when sealed properly. I chose to make an extra large herbarium, but you can create all different sized displays using any type of jar or container that you can seal with cork or a lid. Directions- - Cut dried flowers to your desired length before inserting into your jar or bottle. Use MUST USE dried flowers. Any moisture will cause mold. Select florals from your own yard or make a keepsake with flowers that have dried from weddings, funerals or any special occasions. - Allow for some flowers and stems to vary in length, color and texture for a visually pleasing display. - Carefully add baby oil!! Be careful not to squeeze too hard or fast and have an accident like me! LOL I pressed a little too hard and ended up covered in oil! 🤣 - Use a wooden skewer to help position your florals before sealing. - TIP: if using a cork stopper, I recommend leaving a little bubble of air at the top or use a hot glue gun to cover the bottom of the cork as a barrier between the cork and the oil so it doesn’t absorb or sweep oil. #floraldiy #herbariumjar #herbarium #keepsake #floralcrafts
